Political Lobbying
The Lobbying Efforts of The PGIB are governed by the Political
Action Committee. The PGIB is a grassroots organization of
which has proudly served business and taxpayers at the municipal,
provincial and federal levels of government since 1992.
PGIB is a non-partisan organization which is neither affiliated
with any political party nor receives funding of any kind
from any level of government.
Although our members may support different political parties
at election time, they unite in a common less government,
lower taxes and political accountability philosophy.
PGIB is a watchdog on behalf of individual taxpayers and
business owners. However, unlike other organizations that
lobby governments and fight against legislation PGIB is a
new breed in political lobbying.
Like the Image below indicates other lobby groups lobby outside
of the circle of influence and respond to proposed legislation.
Whereas, PGIB lobbies within the circle of influence by getting
our policies adopted by various political parties and getting
our members elected to Party Executives, City Council's, Legislatures
and the House of Commons.
We provide alternative budgets and solutions to constantly
reduce the tax burden on individuals and business. Other groups
pride themselves on cocktails and newsletters. PGIB prides
itself on results! Stephen Harper said it best at our Annual
General Meeting in 1999 "If you want cocktails join the
group downtown. If you want something done, join the PGIB"
Mr. Harper in our opinion is right on the money with that
comment.
Some of our members get actively involved in the promotion
of the small 'c' conservative agenda through door knocking,
phone calling etc., during elections, however, most members
do not take part in the political process and are not expected
to. Our members are busy trying to pay their bills, grow their
business and spend time with their families, but understand
that we need financial support and every dollar matters.
Yet our members find it refreshing and comforting to know
that we not only provide them with many tools to make more
money, but also, are out there fighting on their behalf and
are their defense when government is against them or is not
representative of their wishes.
We need your support to fight the tax-aholism and closed
door governance that is rampant at all levels of government.
Remember those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom
must undergo the fatigue of supporting it!
