DIRECTIONS: charting a conservative course

Dear conservative,

History is being made and we invite you to be a part of it. A new group namely The Canadian conservative Assembly (CcA) has been founded. The CcA is a new organization set up by a loose coalition of other conservative groups as well as young and energetic organizers.

The first effort of the CcA is the most crucial step this new group will take. This effort is called Directions: charting a conservative course. We encourage you to join us and over fifty conservative political organizations and hundreds of individuals. We will be marketing the conference to the grassroots inviting conservative activists, intellects, authors, lecturers and media from all across the country, to the first Directions conference. This political conference is designed to coordinate conservative organizations and political action.

The Progressive Group for Independent Business is proud to be a founder and Major Sponsor of the Directions conference. Directions is a conference picking up where our 'Roots Of Change' that featured speakers such as Link Byfield, Michael Coren, MLA Jon Lord, Paul Jackson, Stockwell Day, Jim Hinter and many others left off.

As any lobby group or Non Governmental Organizations knows it is very difficult to host conferences year after year and focus on lobby efforts at the same time. That is why we sat down with other individuals and groups to get this conference off the ground.

I strongly encourage you to join the PGIB, it's members and several other conservative organizations and hundreds of conservative individuals (including activists, intellects, authors, lecturers and media) from all across the country, to the first Directions conference. This political conference is designed to coordinate conservative organizations and political action.

With an upcoming Conservative Party of Canada Policy convention this gathering of conservatives will have a major impact in where this country goes.

In other words, if you are conservative and you want to influence the direction of this nation and help chart a conservative course then then this is the place to be.

When: November 12th and 13th, 2004
Where: The Glenmore Inn & Convention Centre, 2720 Glenmore Trail S.E. Calgary, Alberta
Cost: $75.00 individual and $25.00 youth

At the conference we will have political activist sessions on such topics as direct mail, internet and dealing with the media. There will be plenty of opportunity to net work and learn from the brightest minds and best organizations of conservatism in Canada today.

There will be concurrent policy sessions on such topics as democratic reform, taxation, the family, property rights, freedom of speech, judicial activism, health care, education, civic politics, national security, criminal justice and agriculture.

We strongly encourage you to attend this event. This is one conference you just do not want to miss.

Why Directions?

The main difference with the Directions conference and others that have been organized in the pastincluding our own Roots of Change conference is that it needs to be yearly so that conservatives in Canada remain focused and create common strategy that has follow up.

We believe Directions: charting a conservative course conference will become the premier event for conservative organizers from the fiscal, democratic reform and social spectrum to network and focus on what we have in common. Independent voices representing respective conservative organizations need a positive conservative forum.

We have a real opportunity in Canada to chart a conservative course, but only if the right works together. For any more questions call me at the Progressive Group for Independent Business at 1-866-725-2143.

Sincerely,

Craig B. Chandler
