A MESSAGE FROM THE CEO

Welcome to PGIB.org This website is the hub for all small 'c' conservatives. The PGIB was established at a casual meeting in 1989 and Incorporated in 1992.

We are Calgary's largest business and taxpayers organization with over 5,000 supporters. Our last supporter audit had us larger than the Calgary Chamber Of Commerce and even the Better Business Bureau. We do not advertise and are invite only. There are two distinct sides to the PGIB:

We Make You Money! - Whether it be our targeted biweekly lunches, our breakfasts, after hour Quadrant Networking evenings, golf tournaments or just promotion of you as a member, we are always promoting our supporters and creating a great opportunity for making constant contacts.

At the end of the year we simply want you to grab a blank 8.5 by 11 blank piece of paper and draw a line right down the middle.. On the left side we want you to write how much your support cost and on the right side we want you to write how much business you received by being a supporter. If the right side of that ledger is not heavier we will lose a renewal and because we are a business, we can't afford to lose your renewal!

Our Bi weekly meetings are like getting business via a fire hose and our after hours networking events and golf tournaments are great business connectors.

We Help You Keep It! - Whether it be our organization of several constituency associations for the Reform Party of Canada in Ontario, authouring of many policies in the Common Sense Revolution that perpetuated former Ontario Premier Mike Harris to back to back majorities in Ontario, helping Stephen Harper become leader of the Canadian Alliance, leader of the Conservative Party of Canada and Prime Minister. We were also very instrumental in getting get great people like former MLA Jon Lord, former MLA Art Johnston, former MLA Jonathan Denis, former MLA Rick Fraser, Honourable Ric McIver, Honourable Tanya Fir, Honourable Tyler Shandro, Councillor Peter Demong, Councillor Shane Keating, Councillor Joe Maglioca, Councillor Dan McLean, Premier Ralph Klein, Premier Jason Kenney and many, many more elected. We actually are responsible for helping unite the right at the federal level via our 2Cards campaign which can be seen at http://web.archive.org/web/20031218201105/http://2cards.ca/ and were the founders of the Wildrose Party and ran our own Vice President against Danielle Smith as seen http://westernstandard.blogs.com/shotgun/2009/07/wildrose-alliance-leadership-candidate-mark-dyrholm-is-all-in.html We also were the first organization after the provincial vote split that led to a United Conservative Party.

The PGIB has been, and remains, one of the most effective, privately held Political Action Committees in Calgary, Alberta and Canada. We have shaped policies of parties, provided victories in nominations, led winning campaigns in general elections, and have a superb track record of addressing issues of concern to the public. Sometimes you may see us in campaign offices, but most times you are not even aware that we are working on a campaign and doing the heavy lifting. We help with everything from providing Boots On The Ground, designing, writing and distributing literature, social media, phone centres, websites and more. We are a one stop shop for small 'c' conservatives.

Training - The PGIB offers both political and business training to help candidates, sales reps and business owner succeed. Please see for our upcoming courses.

What Makes PGIB Different? We communicate with our supporters on a frequent, via results. Getting actual policies put into law, getting good people initially elected and re-elected etc... I am more proud every year with who helps keep this PROVEN movement going. We do not focus on media attention.

We Need Your Help! The PGIB is NOT funded by tax dollars; we are funded by gifts, events, memberships, marketing support and joint advertising. We request support and we earn it. There are many ways to support us in our efforts. Please see the various levels of membership at

Yours In the fight,
